As 2020 went from bad to worse I resolved to try and celebrate our city in my work for the first time. The result is my new luxury silk scarf collection: MEMORY SQUARE. Memory Square is an imaginary Aberdonian address filled with old friends and happy times. Each of the 3 designs in the collection celebrates a beloved local landmark, immortalised on exquisite silk.

No.2 Memory Square is called CULTIVATION and is my celebration of the wonderful Duthie Park. The backdrop to countless pram naps, picnics, and first wobbly moments on a bike, Aberdonians collectively defrost in the tropical house, puff round fun runs, and enjoy opera on the lawn at sunset. Personally, it was the first place we braved at the end of May 2020, after 10 weeks confined to the house.

The first 10 scarves in each design will be accompanied by an EXCLUSIVE LIMITED EDITION MEMENTO. In the case of CULTIVATION, I’ve commissioned a matching limited edition LINOLEUM BROOCH by wonderful Scottish jewellery designer Roslyn Leitch.

Each CULTIVATION gift set includes:

• a 67cm square silk satin scarf. Designed by me in Aberdeen, the scarves are expertly printed and hemmed in England, with hand-finished machine rolled edges. Scarves are dry clean only and are delivered wrapped in tissue paper and grey cotton dustbags.

• a coordinating linoleum kite brooch, made by Roslyn Leitch. The ingenious magnetic fastenings mean no more holes in your sweaters or tshirts!
